ELIZABETH STREET GARDEN
Elizabeth Street Garden is the only green oasis in the Little Italy and SoHo neighborhood. The Garden, open to the public by volunteers, provides a beautiful sanctuary for local residents and workers. Transformation from a derelict lot into a garden began in 1991, when Elizabeth Street Gallery leased the site from New York City. FRIENDS OF

In June 2013, neighbors and local businesses came together to preserve Elizabeth Street Garden as a unique public green, open space and New York City Park. Since then, Friends of Elizabeth Street Garden has grown a volunteer base of more than 400 people and a mailing list of more than 3,500 subscribers, established a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, opened the Garden to the public year-round and offered more than 150 free, public events—including gardening and educational programming, arts and cultural events and wellness activities.

• Children’s Storytime, Wednesdays at 11 a.m. - Noon • Children’s Yoga, Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. • Community Gardening, Saturdays, 10 a.m. – Noon • Meridian Tapping, Sundays, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. • Vinyasa Yoga, Sundays, 11 a.m. – Noon

LOCATION AND HOURS
Elizabeth Street Garden is open to the public Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday from Noon to 6 p.m. and Weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. NDI Summer Dance Workshop

Dear Parents

NDI has a Summer Dance Workshop offer to 4th and 5th grade. If anyone interested the information below

                 
                           Children in this free summer workshop will experience the same high-energy and engaging dance classes provided in NDI's award-winning In-School Program, which currently serves 6,000 children in schools throughout NYC. A team of NDI Master Teachers and Musicians, assisted by professional dancers training in NDI's unique pedagogy, will take children on a thrilling, creative journey culminating in performance. In this joyfully rigorous environment, students will master fundamentals of dance and original choreography. The workshop will take place at the state-of-the-art NDI Center in Harlem. No prior dance experience is necessary.


Week 1: Monday-Friday, July 27th-31st
Week 2: Monday-Thursday, August 3rd-6th
9:00 AM-12:00 PM daily
1:00 PM-6:00 PM on August 6th (with a 5:00 PM performance for families!)


There will be a non-refundable $25 registration fee to secure your child's place in the program. If this is not possible for your family, please let us know.

Clerical Half Day - June 9. 2015

Tuesday, June 9, 2009, is a HALF DAY for ALL STUDENTS. This will enable our teachers to complete record cards, class re-organizations, etc. All children will be dismissed at 11:30am. PLEASE BE SURE TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD ON TIME.
