Principal remarks

Mr. R. Fong – Good Morning, we wish everyone a happy new year, Its January already. It’s almost testing time in a few months. This year 5th graders will be taking their state tests on the computers, 4th graders will be taking their tests on computers starting next year. We will have a test run for the state tests soon to prepare our students to take the test on computers.

We got some funding for afterschool programs, CPC accepted 12 new students. We did not get Title I status this year, but we did get funding for it. We got most of the lunch forms back and we are hoping we will regain our Title I status for next year.

Thank you to the PA for all their hard work.

Joe – Thank you Mr. Fong.

I think we should work on the meter for fundraising throughout the year.

Jennie – how much have we raised so far, was it the same as last year? How are we doing?

Joe – we have 100 less students now, we are not meeting our goals in fundraising partly due to that.

Lisa – we have less and we are not on target, we need more fundraising from the outside.

Thank you for coming.

Closing time – 8:55am – next general meeting will be February 1, 2024.
