Joe – Welcome back. Happy Lunar New Year (also says it in Chinese). I hope everyone had a good Lunar New Year.

Mr. Fong – I have to rush to a zoom but I wanted to say the Lunar New year show was great! The Assembly woman Grace Lee came to our show on her birthday. She was the one who pushed for us to get the Lunar New Year Holiday off at the state level. At SLT we discussed that there are certain gaps in wit & wisdom. The teachers are working hard to cover those gaps. We encourage all the kids to read different genres, especially 4th & 5th graders. This Sunday will be the Lunar New Year parade, rain or shine, it will happen. I will be on a virtual retreat during the parade. Thank you for everything. In SLT we talked about NYC Rise 529 accounts for kids starting in kindergarten to third grade. It’s a program that the city started, and all these kids get $100 into their 529 program by signing up. My wife asked me if we signed up for our son and that’s why I asked at SLT. Its free money and that $100 can turn into $600 by the time they graduate. We will have Ana do a small workshop about this. People can also donate $ into your child’s 529 accounts. Right now, only 30% of the parents at our school has login to setup accounts to receive the Kids rise 529 account.

Today’s agenda is:
    - Principal welcoming
    - Reading & approval of minutes
    - PA Financial: January 2025 Treasury report
