5th graders – Congratulations on getting applications in, deadline is December 12, 2025. Any questions to Ms. Mo, our guidance counselor or Ms. Leung, our parent coordinator? Mr. McQuire came in last week, on Friday, he will be sending out an email about our SLT meeting.

Thank you.

Classes should be downed sized by 2028, they want k-3 at max size 20 and 4-5 max size 23. Next year they would like the schools to be 80% in compliance. Right now, some are under 20+ students, and some are over.

Any questions or new ideas?

Mr. Fong – Flyer “Kids Rise” – it started 4/5 years ago – right now it’s for k-4. The kids rise program is under your child’s name and it doesn't affect their financial aid. Your child gets $100 to sign up and an extra $100 for some more steps, it’s free money for your child’s college education.

Some area banks and car dealerships have contributed money to the schools for the children’s Kids Rise accounts, to receive it, you do have to activate your account. This is not a part of the 529 plan.

Last year our 3rd graders got a donor from an alumnus, and she contributed money to their accounts.

Ms. Mo – you don’t need to use it for college- you can use it for trade school; it’s connected to your child’s OSIS #. It started in the Bronx and now they have $300k.

Parent – Moe- we can get a company to match it, and it goes directly to the student’s account.

56% have enrolled so far.

Yuki – Lion dance- is the organizer able to do shows, like at the Hudson yards, I saw a school performing there.

Joe – Lisa is the one that gets the name out there.

Lisa – its only if the schools invite us. Any more questions?
