Principal Remarks:
·
Mr.Fong reminded parents the school day
begins at 8:15 every day and ends at 2:25(K-3) and 2:35(4-5).
·
Students are required to wear uniform
Monday thru Thursday. Uniform consist of a navy blue collar shirt and khaki,
navy or denim pants.
·
Mr. Fong reminded all parents to please
visit the schools website at www.ps130m.org for up-to-date information about
the school and events. Also on the school website you can find a link for the
Network for good to make a donation towards our schools Arts Programs.
·
Mr. Fong recognized PS 130’s PA for
their commitment to the school and strong fundraising efforts.
·
Mr. Fong addressed a question regarding
construction of the bathroom located near the cafeteria. The School Construction Authority came
to our school and said they could renovate two of our bathrooms, so we chose
the one most often used by our students, the two bathrooms by our cafeteria.
·
Mr. Fong addressed parent’s concerns
about hot lunches. Con-Ed had to turn off gas in the building to insure
everyone’s safety they will be turning it on as soon as it is okay. Until then
there will be no hot lunches provided
·
PS 130 no longer is using the Remind
App. We are working towards another system (CNXT) a notice will be set out as
soon as it is approved.
