DOE - Respect For All Handouts Webpage and Resources

Dearest Families,

We have been asked to provide you annually with link to the New York City Public Schools Respect for All webpage.

It is the policy of the Department of Education to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that is free from harassment, intimidation and/or bullying and from discrimination on account of actual or perceived race, color, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship/immigration status, religion, creed, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability or weight.

The family-facing information explains DOE policies and procedures for preventing and addressing student-to-student sexual harassment, gender-based harassment, bullying, intimidation, and/or discrimination.  The webpage also includes Chancellor’s Regulations A-831 (student-to-student sexual harassment) and A-832 (student-to-student discrimination, harassment, intimidation, cyber-bullying and/or bullying) with translations.  Hard copies are available at school, if needed.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you so much, everyone.

Sincerely,

PS 130 Hernando De Soto (Manhattan)
