July brings with it some scorching temperatures, especially for this first week and weekend! Make sure that you have access to water, shade, and sunscreen to stay safe.  From the 311 "When it's very hot, air conditioning will help keep you safe. If you don't have air conditioning, find a cool place to visit nearby, like a friend’s place, a mall, museum, coffee shop, library, or a cooling center."

Cooling centers are dedicated spaces that provide free access to air conditioning. They are managed by the city, and also operate as other venues, such as public libraries and community centers. You can also check out Cool It! NYC for places such as sprinklers, splash pads, and other free and fun activities to help stay cool during these hot summer months.
