Opportunity to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week

To promote a culture of appreciation and celebration of teachers, you and your school community, including students, families, and support staff, are encouraged to celebrate your teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6 – 10), which includes National Teacher Day, on May 7. You can celebrate teachers by:
- Sending notes of gratitude to recognize teachers via the online Teacher Thank You tool; and
- In accordance with DOE Digital Citizenship and Social Media Guidelines, encourage parents, staff, and students to post photos on social media using the hashtag #ThankATeacherNYC.
